AIG Stresses Need For Inter-agency Relationship

Alhaji Audu Abubakar, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 10, Sokoto, has called for inter-agency relationship to promote ``Espirit de-Corp.''
Abubakar spoke recently in Sokoto when the new Zonal Commanding Officer, Zone RS 10, Sokoto, Alhaji Yakubu Attah paid him a courtesy call.
He said that such relationship would enhance the performance of all security agencies in the state. ``We will continue to patner to ensure effective road traffic management in
Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara states,'' he said.
Attah, however, said that his visit to AIG was to solicit the cooperation of the police hence his familiarisation tour of the zone.
``I have come to solicit for the support of the Police based on your wealth of experience.
``We need to work together,'' he added.
Attah had paid similar visit to Alhaji M. D. Abubakar the Director of State Security Service (SSS), and Sokoto state Commisioner of Justice, Alhaji Inuwa Abdulkadir.

 

NCAA Relocates To Abuja

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has relocated its head office from Lagos to Abuja in line with Federal Government's directive.
A correspondent of Newsday who visited its office in Abuja , reports that all the Directors and some General Managers were seen in there offices.
Dr Harold Demuren, the Director-General of the organisation, was also on ground
but was in a management meeting as at the time of the visit.
The NCAA was among parastatals agencies under the Ministry of Aviation that were directed by the government to relocate its head office to Abuja.
Mr Sam Adurogboye, the Media Assistant to DG, who conducted the Newsday correspondent round the office complex, said that the last batch of employees would move to Abuja by December.
``The movement is in phases, the first batch came in on October, another batch will come by the end of this month while the final batch will come in by the end of December, '' Adurogboye said.
He said the relocation would not slow down the activities of the organisation, as being speculated by some airline operators.
He said that there were directors at its Lagos office who would be in charge of activities there.
